My daughter, Casey, will be performing in Fame, her high school summer musical, this week. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 21 thru 23, at 7:30pm each night at West De Pere High School. This is a new adventure for her, and she seems to be having a lot of fun at rehearsals. She’s been dancing for years, and is on the high school pom & dance team. But this is her first time in a play or musical. In Fame, she’s a principal dancer and she also sings in the chorus.

I’m quite proud of her, and I’m looking forward to seeing her on stage.

I didn’t realize until this summer that Fame the Musical has much different music than Fame (the movie). But I’ve been listening to the soundtrack for a while now, and it’s actually pretty good.
