you can’t kill a guy for killing a guy

In two weeks, Wisconsinites will vote on the following advisory referendum:

“Should the death penalty be enacted in the State of Wisconsin for cases involving a person who is convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, if the conviction is supported by DNA evidence?”

Since this is only advisory, the results do not directly affect any law. But it’s still important that we get out to the polls and vote NO. My belief is simple. Killing people is wrong. I don’t care what the reason is; no one has the right to kill another person, not even the State of Wisconsin.

I direct your attention to the bible, Romans 12:17, which says:

“Never repay injury with injury. See that your conduct is honrable in the eyes of all.”

How can we say that it’s okay to kill someone because they killed someone? It’s not right. Vote NO.
