Saturday. Our overnight drive went very well. We made no wrong turns, and we made excellent time. I had driven a short shift around 3:00am, and then Dawn drove the final stretch. Hwy 41 near Oshkosh was a sight for sore eyes.

We pulled into my driveway at 8:00am. So it took us 19 1/2 hours to go 1132 miles. I felt so warm seeing my youngest daughter and my wife again. Getting home at this time was also very cool for me because my two oldest daughters had a competition today in Kaukauna for the West De Pere High School Pom & Dance Team, and I had originally planned to miss this. We had exchanged text messages this morning, so they knew I was thinking about them. But as it turned out, I made it to the competition and I was able to give them their candy necklaces.

I was a bit tired most of the day today, but I know it will be nice to sleep in my own bed tonight.
