Well, I’m heading back to New Orleans this weekend. This time, with three dozen other folks from Our Lady of Lourdes parish. We’re going to work with Catholic Charities to help rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. On this trip last year, we gutted out houses, but now we’re in a rebuilding phase. I’m told we’ll be doing things like painting, drywalling, landscaping, etc.

Should be a good trip. This is the third such trip by a group from our parish, and this is the biggest group so far. Since we’re all Packer fans, we’ll be stopping in Bloomington, IL along the way to watch the NFC Championship game this afternoon.

I’ll be writing in my blog all week, but I don’t know for sure how often I’ll be able to get to a hot spot to upload. Perhaps 2 or 3 times. When we’re back in town next weekend, I’ll definitely get everything updated with photos and videos.
